Meet Our Expert Clinical Team
Dr Jim Holden took over Harolds Cross Medical Centre in 2008 from Dr Robert Hickey. Since then, the practice has grown in size and services. We are a teaching practice for TCD medical students and a GP training practice with the NDGPT scheme. All the doctors in the clinic are trained to deal with the full range of physical, psychological and social problems that may develop in the lives of our patients.

Routine & Acute Appointments
We offer a comprehensive range of GP services. You can get advice and treatment for a wide range of common and less common medical symptoms and illnesses. GP consultations are needed to diagnose complaints, prescribe a new medicine, monitor an ongoing prescription or order a blood test.
TO MAKE A GP APPOINTMENT
Contact our receptionist team on 01 492 2665 who are trained to help you get the most appropriate treatment as fast as possible. It may be helpful to give some brief details when booking so that our reception team can arrange the most appropriate appointment for you. In order for them to do this, they may need to ask you questions about why you need to see a doctor. Urgent cases will be seen on the day where possible, however we may not be able to offer a choice of doctor or time.
GP consultations are generally 15 mins per appointment. Patients with more than one issue to discuss are advised to book an extended appointment to ensure that the appropriate consultation can take place.
New Patient Registration
We welcome new patients to our surgery.
If you would like to see one of the doctors, please phone reception in advance to discuss registering and making an appointment. Our team will be happy to chat to you about the practice and our services and assist you with making an appointment.
