Travel Health
Our specialist GP’s can provide comprehensive travel health advice. We stock all travel vaccinations including Yellow Fever Vaccination. For some areas anti-malarial tablets will also be necessary.
Whether you’re looking for a particular travel vaccine or you would like to consult with us about an upcoming trip, we can advise you on the appropriate vaccinations, administer the vaccines and also advise which medications might be useful to bring as a precaution all at very competitive prices.
The vaccinations you may need will vary according to your destination and your existing vaccination status. Some vaccinations take time to become effective, we recommend booking your travel health consultation with the GP approximately 6-8 weeks before you travel to maximise your protection.
Please see Useful Documents & Medical Links below
Appointments
To arrange a travel consultation, please contact reception to book a travel vaccination consultation. Please arrive 10 minutes early for your appointment to allow time to fill in a Travel Consultation Checklist.
It’s important to arrange your travel vaccination appointment early. You may need to return for vaccinations if we need to order specific vaccines. It is important, if possible, that you bring a record of your previous vaccination history. This will guide our doctors in advising which vaccines may need booster.

Travel Vaccines
Vaccinations constitute only one part of the plan to prevent disease when you are travelling. For general information and the overall package to consider when travelling overseas, please refer to the ‘useful document & medical links’ below.
The following immunisations are available from Harolds Cross Medical Centre:
Yellow Fever – Clinic licensed to offer this.
Tetanus & Diphtheria
Polio
Typhoid
Hepatitis A & Hepatitis B
Rabies
Some vaccines require more than one shot, please try to make your first appointment a couple of months prior to travel if possible. Last minute travellers should still seek advice, as vaccines given later are better than no protection at all.
